wet meadow

If a section of your yard receives substantial drainage from your home, or you have low-lying areas that are consistently damp but have a lot of sun, a wet meadow may be a perfect habitat for you to recreate.  A wet meadow is a type of wetland with soils that are saturated or have shallow water for part or all of the growing season. They are dominated by water loving perennials and sedges that thrive in sunny conditions. These would naturally form in converted lawns and newer construction with poor drainage.
